I joined the National Guard because I wanted to prove those wrong who said I couldn’t make it. I wanted to become confident as a person and become a member of something greater than myself.

I joined the North Dakota Army National Guard to better my life and put myself through college. By being in the Guard, it’s made me a more respectful, disciplined, well-rounded individual and I thank the Guard for helping me become who I am today.

I joined the North Dakota Army National Guard for the benefits while I go to college and to excel at becoming a better leader.
